An individual who drops out of society can just as well become a monk or a hermit instead of a terrorist. For an individual to choose to become a terrorist, he or she would have to be motivated to do so. Having the proper motivation, however, is still not enough. The would-be terrorist would need to have the opportunity to join a terrorist group.

Only one of the terrorists succeeded in killing himself, however. Prior to mid-1985, there were 11 suicide attacks against international targets in the Middle East using vehicle bombs. S. S. S.
