Top Shelf Budtending is an elegant budtending service which focuses on providing an upscale cannabis experience at weddings, parties, private events, even in party buses. If the client is uncomfortable with making the choices with what cannabis products to select, we have packages that include full consultation services. During the consultation we will shop with the client to ensure that the get the exact bud they need for their event. The best way to explain what we do would be to compare it to a mobile bartending service. We bring an elegant bud bar, smoking accessories, high-end vaporizers, rolling papers, bongs, and pipes. We bring everything that your party could potentially need to have an amazing time with cannabis. You tell us a location, bring the cannabis, and we ensure that everything is presented in an elegant and safe manner. We check ID’s, make sure everyone is consuming responsibly and, above all, being safe. We are trained in ID verification and are Responsible Vendor certified in Colorado.
Top Shelf Budtending is still a very new company, at only 6 months old. I came up with the idea of the “mobile budtender” after reading about the rise in cannabis use at modern weddings. I took a leap of faith and decided to start my own business. There are no investors and the company has been completely self-funded. What makes Top Shelf Budtending unique is the upscale presentation that we provide. With cannabis still being taboo in much of the United States, I feel the obligation to break down the stereotypes that exist within our industry. Contrary to popular belief, it isn’t all tye-dye shirts and incense. There are real, respected, upscale professionals that enjoy cannabis. This market segment is only growing. I understand the type of vibe clients want at their weddings, especially if grandma and grandpa are in attendance. There are many budtenders in dispensaries, but not many providing the services outside of a dispensary. Being a 3rd party, I have no affiliations with dispensaries so I can give unbiased opinions when consulting with clients on getting the proper cannabis for their event. I pride myself on my cannabis knowledge and keep up to date on all of the science, law, and medical breakthroughs. When you know and love what you do, the clients can detect that and appreciate your services much more.
My vision for the cannabis industry is that cannabis will be just as acceptable and accessible as alcohol. Within 2-5 years I think the landscape for cannabis will look much different even than what it is now. I would love to see joints being sold at baseball games, upscale budtending in Vegas at the casinos, and watch as cannabis begins to be served at nearly every wedding, much like alcohol is today. We have the responsibility of making sure that the public is using cannabis responsibly and are educated properly. I see far too many budtenders and cannabis “professionals” relaying incorrect information and perpetuating unsafe practices. Really digging in and getting to know your clients and their tolerances will be crucial if we want the future of cannabis to be safe, and ultimately succeed. I think eventually big business will step in and we will see a domination of big brands, much like Budweiser is to beer. What excites me is the future of artisan growers much like mirco breweries with a focus on quality over everything else.
